We have activities that take you all around the island…even if you aren’t doing the 12-Mile Elite Race.

THURSDAY, MAY 10

FURY WATER ADVENTURES “WELCOME SUNSET SAIL”

6– 9 pm, Out On The Water, Key West

Coming to Key West a few days early? Join race director “Captain Westy” on a sunset sail on a Fury Catamaran where you’ll review part of the race course from the water and hear tips ‘n tricks for navigating the course on race day. This private charter is just for Key West Classic race participants, your friends, family and significant others, and includes drinks and appetizers. This is an optional activity and not included in your race registration fee. The price is $42/person. You can purchase tickets on the registration page of this site.

FRIDAY, MAY 11

SUP CLINIC WITH YOLO TEAM RIDERS ERNEST “EJ” JOHNSON AND MICHAEL “WESTY” WESTENBERGER

1– 4 pm, Smathers Beach, Key West

Whether it is your first race or you want a little help to beat your time from last year, join YOLO Board team riders Ernest “EJ” Johnson and Michael “Westy” Westenberger for a skills and techniques clinic on Smathers Beach. The price is $50/person and you can reserve your spot on the registration page.

YOLO BOARD KICK-OFF PARTY

6 – 10 pm, Hard Rock Cafe, 313 Duval Street, Key West

All racers and guests are invited to the Kick-Off Party where you can catch up with friends, discuss race strategies, review the course maps and check-in for the race. Hosted by YOLO Board and Hard Rock Cafe, we will provide snacks, beverages and an amazing location overlooking Duval Street. (Admission is complimentary for race participants and a guest.)

SATURDAY, MAY 12

RACE DAY

Smathers Beach

7:30 am Registration / Classic Expo Opens

9:30 am Racer’s Meeting

10:00 am 12-Mile Elite Race (water start)

10:15 am 4-Mile Open Race (water start)

3:30 pm Wrap-up at the Beach

AWARDS CELEBRATION

6 — 10 pm, Smokin’ Tuna Saloon, 4 Charles Street, Key West

The post-race celebration includes food, drink specials, prize drawings for all participants and special acknowledgement to our top finishers. Plus, new this year, we will have a private performance from The Flats who will rock the Tuna for our group until 10 pm. Complimentary admission for all racers. Extra tickets for friends/family can be purchased for just $12/person on the registration page or at the door.

SUNDAY, MAY 13

MOTHER’S DAY BBQ POOLSIDE

11 am — 2 pm, Hyatt Windward Pointe, 3675 South Roosevelt Boulevard, Key West

Wind down your weekend and grab a bite to eat before heading off the island at a casual BBQ brunch, poolside at the Hyatt Windward Pointe overlooking the ocean. Tickets can be purchased on the registration site for $25/person or you can purchase tickets at the door.
